Chicago Public Schools will never close. The mayor feels it is the only place some kids can get a meal, or a warm place to sit or people who listen and care about them. Which is why there is never a CPS snow day.

Is it me or are schools now closing with the threat of snow? When I was growing up in the burbs (OMGWTFBBQ, I'm from the burbs, my opinion is no longer valid!!!!) I can only remember one maybe two snow days.

chicago public schools hasn't been closed for one single hour since i started teaching. even this past friday, when it took me over an hour to drive to work (it usually takes 25 minutes), and only 10 of my students showed up, we had school.

goddamnit, all i ever wanted from my teaching certificate was a friggin' snow day.

Oh man, I remember listening to WBBM waiting for my school and when they skipped over my district, I could swear it was a mistake and listened to it ALL OVER AGAIN!
