"One of the reasons that you might not be seeing many tags for "Beer of the Week" is because tags are new on Chicagoist." I won't chalk it up to poor reading comprehension or short-term memory. We've been doing "BotW" consistently since mid-2006. Last year I had 52 beers for 52 weeks.

gibsonse: This post tends to run on Wednesdays. Sometimes there are breaks during the holidays, or when Chuck has something going on outside of Chicagoist. I think when beer gets to $40, one is better off with a single malt Scotch or another respectable type of whiskey and/or hard liquor or even wine. Sorry, but no beer is worth $40. I mean, it's beer. I don't care if 100-year-old Belgian monks who have been personally blessed by Jesus are brewing the stuff--it's still just beer.

Sorry to ask such a newbie question -- but isn't "Beer of the Week" a little bit of a misnomer? Seems like there aren't very many weekly beer posts tagged as that. Or is that the inside joke this noob missed?
