Hah! Sadly, a lame (and mean-spirited) Will Ferrel sketch reduced Harry Caray to a blathering idiot for many. Growing up a Sox fan with Harry and Jimmy Piersal in the booth, my memories of him are more favorable (and accurate, perhaps). Sure, later in life he stumbled a bit and enjoyed saying player names backwards, but he was far from being the clown many of the uninitiated insist upon. (Hint: It's called getting old) If you're going to bother calling attention to the guy, harping on some tired misconception is a rather perverse form of praise.</p>
