Maybe a little pussyish. :) It's not so bad in short snaps, and it has its scenic rewards when the Lake freezes over and the icepack starts to crack apart, especially at dusk.

We are now suing Margaret Lyons for human rights violations by denying your very own Spook “The Commentator of the Month Award” by creating a “shell commentator” and giving the award to him! After we finish with her, you’re next! From now own any one who uses Spook in title,most use it as Fan of Spook1, Fan of Spook2, Fan of Spook3, etc, etc, etc Amen!

I am here to commiserate. I have seen some pretty rough winters, living in the snowbelt in upstate New York for many years, but I'm sick of this too. My heating bill last month was almost $500...my next heating bill I will not open until I have ingested sufficient quantities of alcohol to numb the shock. I am sitting at my computer with a polar fleece blanket papoosed around my body...I turn my thermostat down at night (it's quite cozy between my flannel sheets)...but it takes almost the whole day for the temperature in the house to get to 70 degrees after turning the thermostat back up. I don't mind cold weather, but this is the kind of cold that just plain hurts your skin when you're outside. I cry "Uncle"!!!

I've lived in Alaska and Arizona and I'll take a winter day over 110 degrees+ anytime. Nobody lives in Chicago for the great weather, especially this time of year, so try to focus on what makes this place so great! (But I agree, this has been a miserable winter....)

This is why I hate people who complain about it being too hot! Come on this %#*^ &*^%$ makes me wanna *&^%# those *&#@@! I mean this sucks! On a 100 degree day you can sit out on your porch and drink a beer. You can walk to the corner bar, just move slowly if you have a problem. But this &$#@ means if you go outside for too long you die! &*%$ this I hate this weather! Give me 100 degree day any time! And in a million years when it gets warm again, lets hang any one who complains about it being "too hot" Those stupid *&^@!
