At least Diann Burns was one of the better READERS of the ENGLISH LANGUAGE among ALL of the News Broadcasters! On every channel, the Broadcasters repeatedly STUMBLE & CHOKE on basic pronunciations of STREET NAMES, SIR NAMES, ETC. The current crop of Broadcasters are a prime example of "THE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA". I WILL MISS THE CORRECT GRAMMER THAT DIANN BURNS ALWAYS PRESENTED!!!!

I am shocked that there are such negative feelings toward Mrs. Burns. She is well versed, well informed, and extremely articulate. I have always found her to be credible and forth coming. I look to a newscaster to report the news,in a well communicated fashion, that's all, which she did. It should not be anyone's concern what happens between a newscaster and their contractor. What is that about? Perhaps there is something else that is underlying the negative connotations. People have way too much time on their hands. They should volunteer to redirect their energy to a needy social service organization, or an under priviledged family. Rest assured Mrs. Burns will be successful in anything that SHE decides to do.

Is the race and gender of media generally representative of the audience and surrounding communities? Are people even allowed to ask anymore without cries of "reverse racism"?

I just can't stand the sound of her voice. I don't watch CBS 2 when she's on. (I don't watch it much when she isn't on either, but the rest of the people I can tolerate.)

didn't she refuse to pay for a ton of work done at her house because she claimed the contractor was racist? good riddance. hope she moves to another city

Let's see how long it takes Jesse Jetstream to call WBBM racist if they dump the vastly overpaid, egomaniacal & just not very good, Diann Bums. For those of you that don't remember or understand the 'Bums', when WBBM hired her from WLS, they had an airplane banner towed over the beaches & her last name was misspelled as 'Bums'.
