Hates Pups!
I know Black Irish exists( dark hair pale skin) actually I knew a woman of that tribe a while ago back. I learned alot about progressive Irish writers. This is why Black Irish will work!
On that day every body can be Black Irish! From Al Sharpton, to Farrakhan to Gerry Adams! Except Daley, he's just nasty like Luke and R.Kelly

Um, spook. The Black Irish already exist. They're just decendants of Spanish immigrants to Ireland. I'm one of them.

Growing up I always heard of the Irish being referred to as the "White (N-Word my mom taught me to never say)" So there's what little ghetto pass I do have.

That and I voted for Obama. (The "But I have a Black Friend!" get-out-being-accused-of-racism of the new millenium!)

Well, Miss Julie Porter aka "Miss IT" aka "Miss She of Refined Taste"!

Seems like the legendary Pimp C( RIP) sure didn't think it was nasty along with the whole dirty south crew, son!

Actually I think that once the brotha's find out about the syrup in The Shamrock shake they will find common ground with their Irish brethren on St. Patrick's Day! I can see it now! Black and "Black Irish" at the Southside Irish parade marching drink'n those Shamrocks aka "Green Drank" while doing the Crank Dat Soulja Boy Dance while singing

"Soulja Boy up In dis hoe
Watch Me Lean And Watch Me rollllll
Super Man Dat Hoe
Then Watch Me Crank Dat Robocop
Super Fresh, Now Watch Me Jock
Jockin' On dem Hatas Mane
When I Do Dat Soulja Boy"

Maybe this will become the official "Drank" of the O'Bama campaign. Heck he's already appropriated the apostrophe!

Arctic Orange is tasty.

But Steak n' Shake's Chocolate Mint pwnz McDonald's Shamrock shakes. The McD's ones taste like Joel Schumacher's "Batman Forever" movie.

I just ate/drank (What is the proper verb for such a concoction?) one purchased from the Field Museum Mickey D's. The Shamrock Shake is my one guilty pleasure from the arches. Please don't take it away.

I think we have debunked the Ireland only thing. Wikipedia has an error? SHOCKING!

I found the syrup for a Shamrock Shake in the cold medicine aisle at Walgreens, labeled "NyQuil".

SERIOUSLY, these taste so nasty, I don't get it.

@Speedymarie:

I think it's just a vanilla shake with a vague chemical mint additive.

And is your name a Black Francis shoutout? +1 if it is...

This freak out period before you find the shake is the best part of it. Its never immediately available, it always slowly sneaks out and once youre reminded of the yearly tradition, you cant immediately get your hands on it which builds up the anticipation even more... The one near the Riviera (I always forget what streets its actually on) usually has them pretty late, usually March until the Summer so thats the real spot.

Sadly, I think McDs has changed the forumla - when I had one last year, it was all fake and chemically-tasting. I tried again at another McDs and got the same thing.

I think the minty goodness we once knew is gone...

This seems ripe for one of those Google Maps mashups. Come on, you nerdy types with lots of time on your hands, hop to it!

The yearly shamrock shake indulgence has been supplanted by the x-mas eggnog shake.
