Um, spook. The Black Irish already exist. They're just decendants of Spanish immigrants to Ireland. I'm one of them. Growing up I always heard of the Irish being referred to as the "White (N-Word my mom taught me to never say)" So there's what little ghetto pass I do have. That and I voted for Obama. (The "But I have a Black Friend!" get-out-being-accused-of-racism of the new millenium!)

I just ate/drank (What is the proper verb for such a concoction?) one purchased from the Field Museum Mickey D's. The Shamrock Shake is my one guilty pleasure from the arches. Please don't take it away. I think we have debunked the Ireland only thing. Wikipedia has an error? SHOCKING!

I found the syrup for a Shamrock Shake in the cold medicine aisle at Walgreens, labeled "NyQuil". SERIOUSLY, these taste so nasty, I don't get it.

This freak out period before you find the shake is the best part of it. Its never immediately available, it always slowly sneaks out and once youre reminded of the yearly tradition, you cant immediately get your hands on it which builds up the anticipation even more... The one near the Riviera (I always forget what streets its actually on) usually has them pretty late, usually March until the Summer so thats the real spot.

Sadly, I think McDs has changed the forumla - when I had one last year, it was all fake and chemically-tasting. I tried again at another McDs and got the same thing. I think the minty goodness we once knew is gone...
