Where Baseball Meets Politics

2008_02_Obama_Winning_Ugly.gifThis t-shirt is going to be popular among the Chicagoist staff. So far, both Benjy and myself (briefly dropping the third person) have ordered this sweet Obama t-shirt using the old school 80's White Sox logo. Fret not, north siders, there's an version with the vintage Cubs logo for sale, as well. Even you downstate Cardinals fans can get in on the action. They're all available here.

The shirt doesn't ship until March 15, but that gives us plenty of time to break it in, spill beer and nacho cheese sauce on it, debate who has the better looking female fan base and get into a fight outside Morrie O'Malley's on the way to the park on Opening Day. We're also of the belief that, had we found out about these shirts sooner, Hillary wouldn't have taken the 11th Ward.

i don't know what i'm more excited about -- the cool shirt or the dropping of the third person in this posting.

a white sox fan in the white house...awesome.

Combining two of my favorite Chicago-y things: a brilliant politician and White Sox baseball.

There is a god.

Two things that talk a good game, give you hope, and rarely fulfill it. A perfect combo.

We could also try a

Blackhawks/McCain (neither have a chance)

Bulls/Hillary (high expectations, overrated)

Fire/Ron Paul, Joe Biden, Dennis Richardson (nice guys, but no one cares).

Who do the Shamrocks, Rush and Wolves represent ?
Giuliani, Edwards & Huckabee?

My retro San Diego Padres one is already coming.

What can I say? I'm a huge fan of Tony Gwynn.
