i have the 20th anniversary edition and the millennium edition. they aren't the super old-school versions, but they aren't overly specialized. the 20th anniversary is probably the most analogous. should i bring them to work?

All right, bad news. Turns out, I got a Trivial Pursuit game in my closet from long ago, but it's like a stupid 80's-90's-Pop Culture pack. (Shoot me in the head) Does anyone happen to have a straight up set of cards from a plain-jane genus? It doesn't have to be the whole game, I have the board, pies, dice, etc... I'm just less than thrilled to flex my intelligence about Cyndi Lauper.

ah, now that's interesting. i *used* to be a chicagoist staffer ... i might give up a spot playing to be the impartial reader all night. i have a nice speaking voice, too. i also don't drink, so i'll be a literal and figurative sober judge. let me know when i get there ..... otherwise, i'm in for some good trivia and congenial smack talk.

Several theories as to why Spook may not show: -He's really pissed because I keep giving away spoilers for "The Wire". -He thinks Lakeview is too "yuppie". If there's more than six people, we might have to divide into teams, otherwise it'll take an hour between rounds. And I have no problem carrying dead weight. Give me spook on my team. Give me Corey from "Life Goes On". Everyone will know who's the engine on my team. And let me make this perfectly clear. I'm not good at many things in this life. As a bartender, I'm decent. As a student, I barely made "C's". I started on my football team, but they put me at center where you really just need to be big and not very athletic. i'm in ... i can never find people who want to ante in for trivial pursuit. risk. eck. i can't do that game. blechorama. and truth be told, even though i adore word games and i love board games ... scrabble gets too tedious. and that whole 'scrabble' dictionary? huh? you can't use proper names from the normal dictionary, but you can memorize a bunch of two letter words from a 'scrabble' dictionary. no way. it's shady. trivial pursuit. yay. how will teams be decided?
