Separated at Birth: Drew Gooden

2008_02_sprts_drew_gooden.jpgWatching the Bulls play their past couple games, we've been trying to figure out who newly acquired power forward Drew Gooden reminded us of. With his shiny chrome dome and shaggy beard, we finally realized who it was during last night's telecast: Wooly Willy!

Gooden's unique coiffure reminds us of one possible face on the Wooly Willy toy we remember from our childhood. The simple game, with its iron filings under plastic atop a hairless face and a magnet to "draw" with allowed for countless varieties of hairstyles and facial 'dos. But the bald and shaggy beard look is right there on the toy itself, among the suggested looks on the left side.

In the past, there have been major league baseball versions of Wooly Willy produced... we wonder if they'd make a Chicago Bulls edition.

y'know, cuz they ran with this yesterday...

Actually, we didn't know they ran with this yesterday because we didn't listen to their show yesterday. Great minds think alike, I guess...
