Local H Gets Angry, Celebrates

From May 7 through May 13 Local H will hold a residency at Beat Kitchen. Each night will see the full performance of one of their studio albums, in chronological order, through their latest, 12 Angry Months. Take that Wilco!

Personally we're looking forward to the full performance of the overlooked but excellent concept album Pack Up The Cats. It's always been our favorite Local H disc and we missed 'em when they toured behind it ... so we've never heard most of those songs live. And we have to admit a certain curiosity to see Scott Lucas work through Ham Fisted, the band's first record, since he seems to have so far outgrown that album. Plus, simply, Local H in a room as tiny as Beat Kitchen? The shows should be massive.

Weeklong passes are available at a discounted price, and include a T-shirt and a commemorative tickets. Regular ol' daily tickets go on sale Saturday.

Now, now watch what you say about Wilco Mr. Tankboy. Did you go to any of the Wilco shows? AWESOME!

Ah, it's just gentle ribbing. While I've been underwhelmed by Wilco's last two albums, they are still one of my favorite bands.
