Last week’s free McSkillet burritos spoiled us. All we had to do was purchase one little drink and we got a free breakfast? Suddenly paying for meals seemed like a sham. It got us thinking - where else can we score some free grub in this town? Well, seek and ye shall find:
Happy Hour Munchies: Bust out of work right away so you can make the most of the free appetizers available Monday through Thursday at Nine. Upscale bites including ceviche and calamari are available between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m..
440 W. Randolph
Sticky Fingers: Free appetizer buffet at Kitsch’n in River North between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. every Thursday and Friday evening. Specials on drinks too. Scarf down enough finger food and it’s dinner.
600 W. Chicago
Cheap Date: Buy one entrée, get one free every Sunday night at Enoteca Piattini in Lincoln Park. Grab the check and insist it’s on you before she figures it out.
934 W. Webster
Your Piece of the Pie: Free pizza every single weeknight between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. for patrons at Red Kiva in West Town. Flatbread for the flat broke - nice.
1108 W. Randolph
Dinner and Dancing: Of sorts. At McGee’s Tavern, both your dinner and entertainment is on the house. Enjoy live music while you scarf down the free buffet between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Make sure to slip in before 7:00 p.m. or they’ll hit you with a cover charge.
950 W. Webster
Striking Gold in the Gold Coast: If you don’t mind a face full of sauce, drown yourself in Finn McCool’s complimentary wing buffet between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. every Friday night. All the buffalo and blue cheese you could hope for.
15 W. Division
Midnight Drunken Buffet: Free buffet between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. at Cleo’s every Saturday night. Great place to refuel before you hit up the late night bar.
2048 W. Armitage AND 1935 W. Chicago
If, like us, you believe there is such thing as free lunch, shout out any steals we may have missed!

I just want to tell you guys that you do a great job with this site. This post probably tops anything that I have seen here.
Late night drinking + free food=goodness.
Yea I was wrong, the requirements for Cops should not be strengthened to among other things include a four year college degree. And some how I bet that Richard Schmidt, 25, was a great officer in Englewood. I'm sure he did alot not just to combat crime but build community support for better police work.
What’s that I hear, (hand cupped to ear) is that the brothers Fed and Ward tripping all over themselves to defend this cop?
Opps wrong post, any way finally Chicago is catching on the "Happy Hour" On the east cost you had your pick of bars with two for one drink specials and free food!
Thank you Ali!!! I have totally forgotten about the Cleo's buffet; I don't live far away from there either.
Awesome.
