I our primate friend makes a very salinet point that too many Lincoln Park types and lake front Gooo Gooos ignore which is that you can't hate Stroger and love Daley

Why would 3/5 of Cook County vote for Palatine to secede? Seems like a pretty high obstacle, and thus not really ever going to happen.

daley doesn't affect the suburbs? stroger is daley's puppet/scapegoat/punching bag. the people who run chicago and cook county are the same group of people

Spook, palatine isnt affected by Daleys tax hikes. I hate daley as much as Stroger but he doesnt affect the suburbs. Stroger has to man up get on a step stool to reach the microphone and explain why crook co needs the highest taxes in the country. Not everyone he meets needs to be employeed by the county. Job cuts not higher taxs are the issue. Everyone needs to remember the piece of shit commisioners that went along with these higher taxes. Sufferdein, simms, steele, murphy and butler and the others all need to be replaced.

Hey Todd Stroger, just tell them that Daley told you to do it and every body will just forget about just like they did with Daley who raises taxes every year! Yup the same complainers that bitched about the much bigger Daley tax hike for six seconds with no thought about organizing a tax revolt. And you will find them soon at the Olympic Games stuffing thier fat faces with a ten dollar hot dog and a 15 dollar budlite

this is all a prelude to the olympics. chicago/cook county need to show the olympic committee they have the cash necessary to run the olympics. this will continue to happen leading up to announcement in 09(?), which we hopefully will lose. if not, expect your taxes to skyrocket even more

@UTV: It wouldn't be so funny if it wasn't true. This would be like giving the collective finger to the board - though it probably won't happen. I get the feeling that this is all bark and no bite, probably much like Stroger and his cronies. You're not going to prove much by bringing this up - threatening, if you will - and not going through with it.
