Mark Suppelsa Leaving Fox (But We Hope Not Chicago)

2008_3_10.marksuppelsa.jpgMark Suppelsa, don't leave us! Suppelsa, our favorite silver fox news anchor, announced today that he's leaving WFLD.

Suppelsa's contract is up March 17, and he told Robert Feder "I have spent five productive and important years at WFLD, and I cannot say enough about the tremendous support and dedication so many people gave to me while I was there. While not an easy decision, I feel it is the appropriate one." Before he was at WFLD, he was at at WMAQ for 10 years.

Hmmm. Seems like there's a lot of musical anchor chairs in the last few months, with Antonio Mora leaving CBS and Diann Burns maybe getting the ax. We're just hoping Mark stays in town. What other local male anchors can rock a burnt-orange turtleneck?

i'm glad i'm not the only who thinks silver foxes are hot.

One can only tolerate Robin Robinson for so long.

you call that rocking? bleh.

is that what they're called? silver foxes? i always called it salt and pepper. but yeah, it's hot as hell.

Fox News, even the local affiliate, is contributing to the general dumbing down of American society. I hope he does much better than this last gig.
