I do love my steak but this does make one think twice about what we are eating. damn I hate it when the news is thought provoking.

Completely agree, and I am not a vegetarian either. Ignorance really is bliss for the masses, but I hope that demand of some will up supply for humane food production. Really, I don't think that humane standards should be optional and oversight should be increased on all meat and dairy producers.

People will be outraged (and rightfully so) about these "downer" cattle making their way into the nation's beef supply... But they should be equally outraged about the treatment (not to mention the conditions under which they're raised) of these animals as caught on videotape. What the fuck is wrong with people anyway that they can treat any such sentient creature in this manner? The short answer is people suck... And no, I am neither a vegan nor a vegetarian...
