i always think that JT is part of the backstreet boys, and then i'm bitterly disappointed to remember that he's not. boo. oh, that's justin timberlake. i actually think i WILL go to see the original JT, because i meant to all those years he came to poplar creek every year, and i just don't want to miss him one more time. i'm a sucker for sap, people.

For what it's worth, "So Sorry," the first track off of The Reminder is fantastic and shows off Leslie's pipes. She's also an integral part of the excellent Broken Social Scene. Well worth $15 for the lawn seat.

Like most songs apple selects fot its ipod commercials, "1234" was a solid song until it was played 500 times a day. "The Reminder" still holds up well as an album in my opinion, and I will certainly pay $15 to chill out on the lawn and get my drink on while she plays. If anything, it will be funny to watch how many people sing along with "1234" and then don't know a single word to any of her other songs. Considering Robert Plant & Alison Krauss were announced as a top bill act for Bonaroo, I would say that's a pretty good get for Ravinia as well.

if all people know of leslie feist is her lame apple commercial (which is how most people learned of her i suspect) you should really hear some of her old stuff. her first album 'monarch' (from 1999?) is quite sweet and well written. plus she's got a brain, writes her own songs and actually plays an instrument. she's been around a long time, and i suggest giving her a little bit of a listen.
