Crash at Auto Auction Injures 12

At least 12 people were injured this afternoon when a Range Rover crashed through a wall at the Tri-State Auto Auction of Chicago in Crestwood. So far, reports are that at least 4 of those injured are in critical condition.

An employee was lining up a Range Rover for display when it accelerated, hit a minivan that pinned some people against the wall. The Range Rover then spun out of control, hit some people inside and outside the auction building, witnesses said.

That's NBC 5's recap. Other sources are citing just a minivan plowing into a crowd. Either way, developing. And horrible. [CBS2, WBBM, Trib, S-T, NBC 5, with slideshow]

I used to go to the auto auction in Waukegan. Some of the cars they would present would have to be pushed out of the way because they would die in the auction area. I saw one car leak so much oil everybody was slipping. Cars were always over heating and smoking out the hall. I wasn't suprised when I read aout this.
