Camel Calf at the Brookfield Zoo

The Brookfield Zoo has a new baby camel, and the yet-unnamed little guy made his public debut yesterday. If you were expecting full uh, humpage, you're going to be disappointed. "At birth, a camel calf’s humps are limp, consisting of just skin and hair," according to the zoo. Shudder. [zoo release]

it is a good looking animal ... i want one! I read that his dad's name was Russell. Anyone else find that hilarious? (probably not)

I hope they name him Fug.

Even as a baby the camel still has an old face! Well, maybe he'll grow into it and look like a stately old beast later.

And yeah, if that Russell thing is true, that's pretty funny.

not quite baby panda cute, but who would thought baby camels could be so adorable...i hope the camel population at brookfield have it better than the camel/elephant one at the LP zoo.

I am apparently the only person that thinks not all baby [insert animal]s aren't all cute. This is one of them. It looks like every other camel.

he's cute cause he's mini.
