Hasn't Cal's already been well-known for a long, long time? Regulars were complaining about the kiddies (ie complaining about me to me) 8 years ago when I worked in the Sears Tower. Last time I was in Cal's on a weekend I was one of the oldest people there and I'm not half way through my thirties.

i always thought shows like 190 north were tv stations' way of fulfilling their requirement for community service broadcasting, but trying not to make them horribly drab. that's why you see lots of PSAs late at night and why some music radio stations go to weird, dry talk shows for a few hours on sunday nights. it's part of their obligation to serve the public interest. imagine that ... radio and tv that are local and actually serve a local community? that have local personalities that know a local audience and that play local music? oh, the good old days.

Thanks Chuck, for exposing the only decent place left to drink after work down town! And grabe a bag of pork rynes. Next thing you know the Licoln Park crowd will be hanging there Spav,Plum Plum and the rest of the Lincoln Park twiddy birds. Once the lecherous owner( before I had arrived) said to my then girl friend "hello little girlie I got some candy down in the basement" Yea I dig the place, wish I was there now!

bekki that show is total filler. it came out in the mid-90s to appeal to the "friends" demographic and has sucked ever since. :D

This reminds me of the CBS 2 segment "Where 2 go" and I've always thought of it as "Where not 2 go now." Same with 190 North, though, admittedly, I haven't ever watched it long enough to make a sound judgment. But that lady just seems to want to be cool but really isn't.
