Sneak Peek, Stream Sybris

2008_03_sybris.jpg

Local squall-rockers Sybris -- longtime faves of ours -- aren't releasing their new album Into The Trees until May 20, but they're streaming the whole thing for free for the next week so folks can get a taste for the new tunes. No word yet on whether or not any Q101 DJs will record the whole thing for offline use on their airwaves.

I know Angela, the lead singer, through some friends. I am always happy to hear about how well Sybris is doing. She lives on the next block from me, and man, you could not have a better drinking buddy.

I know Eric from being behind the soundboard at Sub-T. Great soundman, very supportive. I wish good things on Sybris.

To best describe Eric:

Epic personality and zeal for life wrapped tightly in the skin of a body that will never look a day older than 25. The man is 42 YEARS OLD and as young as the day he was born.

The album is coming out May 20 and not June 3. Just confirmed it with Shawn. Not sure where the June 3 date came from.

The June 3 date came from their publicist, but I've amended the article to include the correct date.
