Walgreens Wardrobe

Next time you're at Walgreens, you can stock up on more than deodes and condoms, aka Saturday supplies. You can also buy clothes. And apparently not just those crappy looking Chicago t-shirts and weirdly tight gloves. Regular clothes!

Walgreen's is debuting its new line Casual Gear next week, and from what we can see, it's extremely casual gear. As in pajama casual. But $14.99 for a quilty vest is crazy cheap. T-shirts will cost around $7, and sweat pants around $8. [Walgreens' release]

Man, "Wadrobe," huh? I guess this wardrobe is so cheap that Margaret got excited and missed a letter in the title.

I know where I'm getting all my new clothes now!

Hmmm...no.

I think wadrobe is fairly accurate...

I MIGHT take out the garbage in what that woman is wearing, but other than that, I wouldn't be caught dead in public in that outfit. But kick off the flip-flops and vest and I'd be ready for bed.

yeah, i've been buying their 'yoga pants' for a couple of years now. but they're for snoozy time. or really 'i don't give a shit, it's cold out, target/jewel/walgreens (?) shopping in the winter with a hoodie and boots' time. i don't consider them viable fashion options, though. as in a 'clothing line.'

an aside: does anyone think the guy looks like 'the rock' and ron huberman's love child?

I have to admit I purchased two pairs of very light cotton draw string pants- one white with blue stripes vertical stripes- and rocked them in Nola around the French Quarter. And no shame in this Spook's game. Course now, looking at the picture above, well.......

I think dude is wearing pleated sweatpants. Awesome. And the Wal-crocs set them OFF.

i buy walgreens sweats a lot. i mean, a sweatshirt is a sweatshirt.

I think people who wear crocs should be stoned to death with millions of crocs shot at them using some sort of device designed by NASA with high speed. Except for those selected by lorem ipsum, because those folks are awesome! Those folks you just invite to your party and hope they show up, cause the party will start when they walk in wearing the wal-crocks and the pleated sweat pants awesomely!

i bought pajama pants at walgreens some time ago. quite comfy, surprising for my larger frame. but wearing them outside? er... no.

I dig the fact that some people in this city will get all snarky about Walgreens having a cheap store brand of clothing, then pine for the chance to spend a couple hundred bucks at Muji - the President's Choice of Japan.

UTV son, back up. I told you what I rocked when I was in Nola! And actually some snarky mutha f*cka commented on my "pajama" pants, I replied dude this is New Orleans not Iowa!

Cause that's how I carry it!

but those that rock crocs still should be stoned along a wall

Actually Spook, I think that Croc rockers have a much better chance of having their feet eaten by an escalator.

Me, I just stay away from them because they make you look like you ride the short bus.

"Next time you're at Walgreens, you can stock up on more than deodes and condoms, aka Saturday supplies."

I had to go look up the first one of those. "Deodes?", I wondered. "Did she mean diodes? LEDS for some art project she wants to show off to her friends? Or did she skip two keys to the left when she tried to write "geodes", and is amateur geology the hot new thing the kids are into these days?" A little nerdy for a weekend activity, even by Math or Electrical Engineering department standards, but no. It was worse than that.

"Deodes" is short for "deodorants". Oh, dear G-d, I find myself wondering - is this the latest trend? Should I find myself grateful for that lingering head cold?

"deodes. heh."

As a specifically weekend purchase, which is what I found interesting. Hoping that doesn't apply to soap as well. I'm guessing that there will be an increase in the sales of cologne?
