  • If you've been looking forward to Rampfest this evening, we hope you purchased your tickets in advance. Tonight's event is sold out.

  • Restaurants and bars confirmed as participating in Earth Hour promotions tomorrow include Atwood Cafಡ, Avenues, Ben Pao, Bluprint, Buona Terra, Café Jumping Bean, Carson's, Catch 35, Chiaroscuro, Coco Pazzo, Cocoro Japanese, Cyrano's Bistrot, Encore Liquid Lounge, Erie Café, Hamburger Mary's, Harry Caray's, Kiki's Bistro, Manhattan's, Pizzerias Uno and Due, Rumba, The Fix Café, The Palm, Italian Village, Weather Mark Tavern, Wild Blossom Meadery, Zapatista, and Zealous. Enjoy the candlelight, people.

  • The North Park Nature Village Center's Maple Syrup Fest will be held tomorrow and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Watch the complete syrup making process from tap to covering your flapjacks. The center is at 5801 N. Pulaski.

  • ChicaGourmets! is hosting an "understanding wine and food" uncheon tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Anteprima in Andersonville (5316 N. Clark St.). Cost is $75 ($65 for ChicaGourmets! members).

  • Lost in all of the whisky week events is a sake tasting and seminar Tuesday at the Japan Information Center (737 N. Michigan, Suite 1000). The event, from 6-9:30 p.m., will feature a lecture by sake expert John Gauntner, along with Japanese cuisine and a raffle. Sake breweries participating include Nanbu Bijin, Akita Seishu, Kaetsu Brewery, Marumoto Shuzou, Asahi Shuzou and Gekkeikan. Master brewers will also be available to answer any questions.
