@peteypants: You mean BESIDES the fact they live in Texas? And ATA sucks. They really are the worst carrier out of Midway.

I flew ATA a few times through Chicago. They were horrible. I remember overhearing a businessman at the gate telling someone on his cell phone before a flight that "I haven't had a smooth landing yet on an ATA flight." Still, it was better than Frontier.

Two of the worst flights of my life were on ATA ... I can't say I'll miss them. I agree about Jet Blue, that was a fantastic trip with them and I hope they can pick up some of the business.

Maybe Jet Blue can take over ATA's gates at Midway at set up a nice little midwestern hub? A boy can dream, can't he?

i think they cutout the cheap flights to laguardia about a month or two ago, those were great. regardless, ata kicked ass and this blows

Im flying Southwest today, and when I woke up and the first thing I hear is "a major airline at Midway completely shuts down operations" I freaked. Phew! But, still sucks for those ATA passengers. I couldnt imagine how furious I would be to show up at the airport and the ariline is just gone!

ATA always had the cheapest fares from Midway to Laguardia. Now I'm gonna have to fly Spirit out of O'Hare. thanks for inconveniencing me, ATA.

twasn't luxurious, but ATA was so convenient and cheap in flying between DFW and MDW. At least I have an excuse now for not visiting my folks often
