- If you haven't been told already, WhiskyFest Chicago is sold out. However, one of the biggest after parties is held at Delilah's every year, where Mike Miller has the largest back bar whisky selection in the city.
- Visit the Alliance Francaise tomorrow from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. where they'll be hosting a cooking demonstration on spring tarts. Cost is $75 for members, $85 non-members.
- Take a quick trip on Metra to Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery tomorrow, where they'll be celebrating the launch of their bottled beer operations.
- Rick Sayre, winemaker for Rodney Strong Vineyards, will be at Binny's Ivanhoe Castle Monday from 6-8 p.m. for a tasting and bottle signing of the vineyard's 2004 Alexander Valley Cabernet.

are those chocolate tarts? they look yummy.
They look like the Guinness cheesecakes I made for St. Patrick's Day at work.
Sans the Jameson Whiskey Chocolate Ganache, of course.
Those are actually pumpkin tarts, y'all.
Smussy and Plumbum - I think they are pumpkin tarts. I was curious, too, and looked at the picture properties and the picture title has pumpkin in it. Mmmmm, tarts!
Pumpkin in spring is just nasty to me for some reason. But around late September, I can handle it. Weird...

The only difference is, I didn't put the chocolate on top (I used a standard Ganache recipe instead and substituted Jameson instead of brandy to make it all "Irish Carbomb-y") and I used store bought individual Oreo pie crusts that look sort of like the above. That way everyone in their cubicle could have an individual pie.
