@boemelaar I don' think most people (myself included) are trying to get maximum alcohol absorption from Sam Adams. That is what a 30-case of HighLife is for ;) Same price as a 12-pack of Sam Adams, without the wonderful flavor.

Maybe if I was 16 and lived in Central IL I'd believe something like that.

This is the kind of thing that can stick with a beer company for a long time as one of those rumors where people say they purposely put glass in the bottle because it causes small cuts in your stomach that increases the absorption of the alcohol or some such stupid thing. Note that if this does become a rumor some years down the road, you heard it here first.
