In a thrilling game that required overtime following the Jayhawks' nine-point rally during the final two minutes of regulation, Kansas defeated the Memphis Tigers 75-68 in San Antonio on Monday night to win the National Championship.

With Kansas' victory, we now have a winner in the Chicagoist Tournament Challenge. Out of 90 entrants, l.meuller's el #1 entry took top prize! He compiled 1260 points, which placed him in the 97.9th percentile. Chicagoist is quite impressed... especially considering that we just squeaked into the fourth quintile overall and 70th in our own damn pool.

Congrats! Please email me at blipsman at mindspring dot com to trade info regarding to your prize.

I took fifth in our work bracket. . which won me $20. . .of which makes me very happy.

Sadly, with a bracket having Indiana win the tourney, I beat a friend (who obviously doesn't watch a lot of basketball). . .I feel I should win more for that!

Now I don't feel so bad about my Tar Heels getting pasted by the national champs. Great, great game last night.

My 71st place showing should make you feel better.

I'm 61! I'm 61!

And how the hell do I choose my alma mater (UNLV) to win it all, I still beat Chicagoist's resident sports expert?

You suck-diddly-uck Benjy!
