People eat at this restaurant, despite the fact that every single person who eats there gets pissed at the service, and half of them are disappointed by the food. That's a pretty excellent business model. On a related note, I'd like to invite you all to the opening of my new restaurant - Charrlie Trotters. The extra "r" is for RRRRReally Good!

As an actual former resident of the South, I have to say I have never heard of this combination of foods. I've eaten barbecued mutton and deep fried twinkies, but I've never come across chicken and waffles. It sounds disgusting.

ive been to the original Roscoes in southern Cal many times, and for some BullShit outfit to not only steal its name but serve crap chicken and raffles is outrageous. its like somebody opening a new steak place called Gibbsons, and then serve grade D beef!

There is a "take" of this dish at Between Boutique on Milwaukee Ave where the Waffles are savory and the Chicken is sweet! Of course, being a Vegetarian I have not consumed this concoction. And: Me too. I thought of Coming to America as soon as I read this. For my money Eddie's best caricature was the Old Jewish man in the Barbershop: If the man wants to be called machammad, then dammit I am going to call him machammed. His mamma named him Cassius, I'm calling him Cassius.
