@Dig Speaking as a former, uppity Riverside resident, I think Berwyn will have loads of uniqueness left should the spindle go the way of the garbage sculpture (Cermak Plaza sign) that once shared the site. Snap! But seriously, why build the Walgreen's in the middle of the parking lot? And if you must, why not just move the sculpture? If they touch The Egg Store someone's gonna get dealt wit.

Speaking as a former Berwyn resident, this is utterly lame. Getting rid of the Spindle will banish the uniqueness from the town which is, I suppose, the intention so that idiot leadership can beckon white bread yuppies. It's a shame as there was always neat stuff in that Plaza.

Th artist owns the trademark and from what I had heard, he doesn't like the idea of making money off it. However, that is just hearsay.

They couldn't agree on a way to market it? How about this one: Manufacture detailed 8-inch tall replicas of the sculpture and sell them for $30 each. I'd buy two.
