I don't get where landlords get off. They should feel lucky to have a tenant let alone goose island. This economy is killing retailers.

Bank of America bought LaSalle Bank and the call center will be closing as well. Many more people will be out of jobs.

The article in Crain's says that they are looking at nearby locations to possibly open a new brewpub.

Spook, I'm betting that yuppies will flock to Revolution Brewing Co. Sorry to disappoint you. Rev Brew's plan is not too far from what Piece is doing in Wicker Park (and appears to be similar in scale), and Logan Square is next on the yuppification list...

And anyway, Chicago Journal scooped everyone last year on Revolution Brewing :-)

As for Goose Island, it's a shame the brewpub is closing but as long as their beer flows freely from numerous taps around the city, I'm not gonna cry.

I'm not worried at all! Logan Square will be getting our very own Brew House, named Revolution Brewing! And it will be full of people drinking just like me!

No yuppies, just people drinking while reading books and debating radicl ideas.

And you thought I was the only revolutionary left in Chicago, Ha!

p.s Sudo, I belive I scooped you on this! You gotta build some contacts with the grassroots, man.

Yeah South or West Loop would make the most sense. It is a shame though, kicking out a Chicago icon for a few extra $$ per square foot?

I'm not a diehard Goose Island fan, and I disapprove of their union with A-B, or was it Miller or Coors, I forget...

But this is still saddening to the beer world.
