Adopt Radar

Not all dogs up for adoption come from heartbreaking backgrounds. Take Radar, for example. He's a well-adjusted Pit Bull Terrier with seemingly endless energy and a penchant for snuggling.

Radar bonds well with people and with other dogs. So much so that he's getting along well with the cats and other dogs that he is staying with right now - a quality that can be rare in foster pets. Sadly, Radar suffers from vasculitis, a general term that applied to several conditions caused by the inflammation of blood vessels. In Radar's case, it led to sores on his face, ears and tail. His skin has improved with veterinary care and a grain-free diet, but some of the scarring on his face will remain. Nevertheless, he's a healthy dog that would do well in a home with older children or other pets. His size and energy also makes him a great candidate for agility training and obedience classes, which will also help with his confidence and focus.

They are all friends! That is sooo cute.

I happen to have the honor of knowing Radar personally, and ... Radar rocks.

I signed up for an account here, just so I could say the following:

I know Radar as well, and he is the most loving dog I have ever met. He is such a sweet boy, and gives his lovin' kisses out all the time. If I could, I would adopt Radar in a split second. He is amazing.

@Kevin

Not sure if today's post was at all inspired by my endorsement of New Leash on Life in the comment section of last week's feature, but my hat's off to you...

They're a teriffic organization (I've fostered two different pit bulls for them, adopting the second) made up of wonderful people, and they could always use more volunteers, as well as donations (and not just monetary, but blankets, leashes, crates, etc., as well)...

Good luck, Radar!

You'll let us know when he gets adopted, right? Please?
