Chicago Fashion Week

Monday kicks off Chicago Fashion Week, previewing the Fall 2008 collections of national and international designers in a series of shows, fashion seminars, and networking events. With the New Generation fashion show, local fashion students are also being given the chance to showcase their work. According to the event calendar, tickets are still available to the week’s receptions and shows, taking place at the River East Art Center.

Chicago Fashion Week will be launched this year at the NV Penthouse Lounge cocktail reception, a chance for designers, models, photographers, and fashion fans to network and strengthen the Chicago Fashion Industry.

Only in its second year, Chicago Fashion Week is a step in the right direction in helping Chicago to become a fashion presence in the world. What do you think? Can it be done?
