Moby will be making a guest appearance at Smart Bar to perform a DJ set along with Holy Ghost! (erm, that exclamation mark is part of their name, but we are a bit excited.)
Moby has been popping up all over the place, even performing a set with his band at a blogger's birthday party, to promote his newest disc Last Night. So we're unsurprised to hear of this appearance, although we are expecting a small explosion of pandemonium tomorrow, since it's not every day you get to hear Moby spin anymore ... and the chances of seeing him spin in a bar the size of Smart Bar were, until now, infinitesimal.
The show starts tomorrow night at 9 p.m. Good luck on getting in.

Weekend Diversion: Night Of The Ponies

I've been hoping in vain that this would remain a secret.
This is going to be insane.
wow moby is DJing at smart bar guess that career isnt going so great.
Yeah StephanieSays, sorry ... but that just wasn't gonna happen!
And fed up, you are apparently not familiar with the notion of an artists doing exciting and unusual things to promote awareness of a new album, which is exactly what something like partnering with MySpace for a "secret" show does.
Yeah, luckily I live right there so I will just be checking back periodically during the day to see what the line is like.
I WILL get in.
tank,
So nobody is aware of his album much thats usually what happens to hasbeens
sorry tank i shouldnt hate on moby. I just never got him or his music.
DJs love doing small gigs. Moby used to do them all the time under a number of pseudonyms.
Hey fed up, no biggie, not everyone has to like the guy.
I remember when I bought GO when I was, um, 11. Still a great tune.
yawn.
seriously. i don't know how he can lift his head in a world with (name dropping alert) richard d. james, tom jenkinson, chris clark, sabrepulse, modeselektor and etc.
anyway, is he in town filming those obnoxious six flags great america ads again this year? i do enjoy watching him cabbage patch.
Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin aka AFX is leaps and bounds better than Moby.
this argument is so 1993
