Alinea, Trotter's Make Another Best Restaurants List
The S. Pellegrino list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants was announced yesterday. Both Alinea and Charlie trotter's made the cut: the House of Achatz settles in at #21 while Trotter's lands at #38. What is notable about the two restaurants' inclusion on the lsit is that Alinea jumped up fifteen spaces from its debut on last year's list, while Trotter's fell eight spots.

...because alinea is awesome.
(i can say that now!)
What about Moto?
Is sci-fi cuisine a bit too "out there"?
only 2 chicago restaurants?
man, we're sucking ass lately...
Meanwhile, billions of people around the world are rioting because they can no longer afford rice or bread. Of course, that is hardly of concern to the type of people who patronize establishments like this.
I missed the billion man riot. That would have been quite a sight.
@h8:
2 in the whole wide world... I don't think that's too shabby.
@ sears:
actually, it does matter to me. a lot. and if you wanted to see a fish out of water, you could've seen me at alinea in march, surrounded by tokyo businessmen, fully aware that my blue color parents would disown me for eating there if they'd seen the bill.
that would be the bill paid for with a LOT of gift certificates.
you should do some reading about what homaro cantu @ moto is trying to do with those laser jet printers and stuff. i think you'd find it interesting.
