oh. well you said "the pride of blue island," which pretty much says "south side" to me. not to mention all the white sox gear they were wearing. i wasn't using south side as an epithet; i just know that in chicago we tend to stay in our own 'hoods. it's not like i get to beverly that often, or people who are lifelong residents of bridgeport are rockin' rogers park every day. no offense meant ...

hey, all i said was that mulleted fans all over were bummed. i've seen them at least two times at IPO. it just was weird to see all the south side guys make the trek to double door. it was a flashback freakout, to be sure.

A power pop band with some serious personal issues, to boot. I remember reading an interview once years ago with Cheap Trick's Tom Peterson where the interviewer brought up Enuff Z'Nuff as part of the area's power pop history. Peterson gave an off-the-cuff answer about them that probably cut Chip Z'Nuff to the bone.

Yeah, those dudes gave the guys in my band guitar lesson YEARS ago, so they're O.K. in my book! Also, they always got lumped in with the hair-metal crowd since their label had no idea how to market them, but they are at heart a power-pop band.

yay!! it will be good to get a little appetizer of frisbie before their show at DD on 5/15. although, i just stopped by their site, and apparently, their short set is turning into a full set ... e'nuff z'nuff had to cancel? i'm sure mulleted fans all over are in sadness.
