There is no suggestion that Hastert even knew of this, same as the Rove situation. What makes everyone think these guys were consulted about any of these back room deals??

You write, "....when the prosecution said a witness would testify about Karl Rove's involvement in attempting to get Fitzgerald fired." That is not correct. What the prosecution said was that Rezko's cronies were going to TRY to get Rove to help get rid of Fitzgerald. There is no one currently slated to testify that they even interacted with Rove.
