With his enemies waiting in the wings, and federal prosecutors seemingly closing in, now seems like as good a time as any to start our Rod Blagojevich Political Death Pool. In the comments below, write the date you think Blago will go down and why. Let's see... recall bill will be postponed by Emil Jones past the six month cutoff date (next month), so that won't do it. Impeachment won't happen until Jones can score a new patron for the office, which won't happen until it's clear (via indictment) that he can throw the mighty Blag under a bus. For the indictment, Fitzgerald will need to assemble some hard evidence (subpoena docs) which will be postponed ad nauseum by various motions by Blogorod's legal team. Once indicted he'll put off resigning for no particularly good except to enrage everyone.
So... September 12 2009. (A Saturday so as to minimize news coverage on the day of.)

I think he's going down soon: Nov. 4, 2008 - election day. He'll be arrested at O'Hare airport as he steps off the taxpayer-funded plane he takes between Chicago and Springfield.
As he's being led away, a crazed Pat Quinn will break through the crowd of reporters and kill him with a couple gunshots to the gut and chest - Jack Ruby style.

I'm picturing Blago after having read Kevin's "Rod Blagojevich Death Pool", setting out on a jog with his state body guards to Kevin's house. Well maybe they drive those two black SUV's with the tinted windows. But once outside Kevin's house Blago and his five state troopers all in matching track suits will give Kevin a 15 second head start before they come after him, because desperate times require desperate measures!

Blago will be found floating in Lake Michigan on Aug 4 2008. Due to him bouncing a state check of $1 million to the Serial Killer Group ( http://chicagoist.com/2008/04/26/did_a_serial_ki.php ) after thier alter in the forest preserve tragically burns down.

Gosh, you people actually think the state of Illinois is going to get around to do anything about this guy before the end of his term? I doubt it. He'll finish out his term. The indictment will likely come about two years after he's no longer in office.

Not only would Pat Quinn aka P.Q adopt the kids, but he would do so at a public press conference in the State of Illinois Blue Room. There P.Q would delcare is intention to adopt the kids, then the kids would step up to the mike and say a few words about being adopted by P.Q, and then it would be time for the reporters to ask questions of the new family
