Cubs vs. Indy?

2008_05_sports_indy_schedul.jpg

We know the Cubs have upcoming games against Padres and Pirates... but aarcheologists?

According to the Cubs' schedule on their web site, it looks like on May 22 they play Indiana Jones!

OK, so it's just a sponsorship tie-in for the upcoming film -- Indiana Jones is also peeking out from behind info for the White Sox - Cleveland game that day -- but with the North Siders' scheduled off-day it looks like Indy's taking the field against the Cubs.

Indiana Jones goes wherever Indiana Jones wants to go.

Maybe he could help the Cubs find that lost championship...ZING!

@mike_thoms

outstanding.

+5

I'm a Cubs fan so I had to do it before someone else did...i don't know if that takes away from my scoring

Not on a Monday morning. Well played.

I guess that makes Wrigley the "Temple of Doom".

Indy by 2.

what if it was Indy vs. Ditka?

This seems even dumber than when whatever studio it was paid MLB to decorate the bases one weekend to promote the release of Spider-Man 3. They're marketing the HELL out of the new Indy movie when it's just about the only sure-thing box office-wise this summer. I'm going to be sick of hearing about well before the thing even opens.

One. I will NOT see this movie.

Two. Indy would kick the Cubs asses just like he kicks Nazi ass.

I'll take Lindsay Lohan as my date to the game!

I just checked out dodgers.com and mets.com, seems Indy is there too. Quite a good marketing campaign idea!!
