Man Buys Himself PBR Coffin

2008_5_5.pbrcoffin.jpg

This is South Chicago Heights resident Bill Bramanti. He had a his coffin specially made to look like a can of his favorite beer, PBR. He's 67 and in good health, so in the mean time, he uses it as a cooler. [AP]

That guy is the ultimate hipster!

People like this remind me of the crazy grnadpa in Lost Boys..."That's one thing I could never stand about Santa Carla...too many vampires" and then he cracks open a root beer.

I'd like my ashes divided and housed in a tallboy six-pack of Old Style.

yeah, i remember the first time i was in a bar and i saw several people drinking PBRs. i laughed and called my dad the next day ... "dad, you're never going to believe what's cool now; you're such a trendsetter ..."

Since when does adding stickers to something make it "specially made". He bought some PBR decals printed at a shop and stuck them to a standard coffin. And this is in the news?

Must be a slow news day for the AP.

Clever ad for his construction company it seems.

dude...where can i get one?

I want to drink myself to death just so my remains can be entrapped in this thing for the rest of time.

there's a christmas tree in the back of the picture. what the hell?

Can I have one made like a whiskey bottle?

you're obviously not from around these parts...

Christmas lights stay up year round in houses where they drink pbr... probably have some moon pies around, too, if you're feelin' hungry...
