The Illinois Supreme Court denied a request today to unseal the court proceedings in R. Kelly's child pornography trial. The Trib, Sun-Times, AP and WBEZ had joined forces (media powers: activate!) to petition the court to overrule the lower court's ruling to keep the court records private.
In other R. Kelly news, prosecutors are facing a uphill battle, given that the girl (now 23) authorities identified as the victim on the tape denies that it's her. The trial starts Friday. [Trib, AP]

He looks like something I would clean my toilet with. Just saying.
...or something that just appeared in my toilet... magically of course.
Now they sealin' my case upppp........
it's good that the judge feels his case needs to remain sealed, because one needs to keep all references to "breaking the seal" under wraps. oops.
You beat me to it, Navin. But I was going to go for something like "This case is trapped in a closet!"
Ah well.
The judge should be "showered" with praise.
Rhos,
I thought the same thing, that *should* have been the title for sure!
