Maybe they need to eliminate reporters in the locker rooms altogether. In most soccer-playing countries and at major events like the World Cup and Olympics, they have "mixed zones" where the reporters can meet with the players outside of the locker rooms. The clubhouse / locker room area really should be a respite from the outside world for the players. This would certainly remove any sense of entitlement to outrage that some writers seem to have about spaces that they should not naturally even be in.

Pat Tomasulo said on 'GN this morning that the bats were inserted into the blow-up dolls, not propping them up (well, maybe they were doing that, but they were ALSO stuck up the doll's butts), which makes it less playful and a little bit more disgusting. Doesn't necessarily change the argument about whether or not the public should worry about what happens in the clubhouse, but it's a bit different, IMO.

Nice to see a reporter become outraged at such a travesty as this. I would like to thank Carol Sleazack for looking out for us. After all, one of these days my young kids might end up in the club house on accident on the way to the batting cages at The Cell and almost see inflatable boobs. Tragedy narrowly averted there, I tell ya.

Just when I thought it was impossible for me to like Ozzie Guillen more, he goes and does something even crazier. The best thing about being a Sox fan is, even when you lose, you're still totally worth watching because of our batshit crazy manager. The odds of him killing a man with his bare hands before the season is over are really small at this point.

Two blow-up dolls in the locker room of a mens' professional sports team is worth devoting an entire column? Carol Slezak sounds like a bit of a prude... P.S. Way to stay classy, Sox! (only because that's exactly what some of you guys would be posting had it been the Cubs instead)
