Trib Columnist Rips Sun-Times
Mike Downey at the Trib is incensed! He's pissed that the Sun-Times ran a front-page story about the White Sox' blow-up dolls, and spends his entire column ragging on the paper, its ads and its editorial content.
...if you are going to condemn a baseball team and its manager for offending the public's taste, then your own house better be squeaky clean. Particularly if your own very public publication trades in highly provocative material and language, as does the Sun-Times in its articles and ads.

what a silly rant. i love the trashy sun-times but wonder if all Trib columnists/readers are neuters like mike downey.
The Sun-Times is sensationalist crap 9 times out of 10. I know that sex sells and that newspapers are dying so the Sun-Times has to spice it up but if that's the case they really shouldn't be staging an Inquisition about this whole blow-up doll thing.
mike, if thats the case the Trib shouldn't be holding an inquisition for the sun-times' editorial choices as well...let the fans/readers decide for themselves.
