Well it can't be rebranded regular Bud, because that's a lager and this is an ale. Lagers and Ales are mutually exclusive by definition, based on the kind of yeast that is used. So it will likely be the ale interpretation of Bud (i.e. a hopelessly flawed, flavorless, price-engineered swill designed to be consumed in mass quantities without leaving an aftertaste). I can actually drink a cold Bud though. MGD, I can't force that crap down.

acutally, the label is very reminscent of yuengling. which actually is a very fine cheap american beer. likely unlike this new bud thing.

I think what he's implying is that it's "American" Ale and the whole eagle bit....geez. It's sort of like saying "Budweiser!" "We are *the* American beer!". It's kind of like a ficticious joke beer somebody would create for a skit pokin' fun at American beer. BTW, Regular old Bud's disgusting, the 'el cheapos': Pabst etc. taste much better if you ask me.

Surprisingly Anheuser Busch brews some interesting beer, very few that ever come to market. Lately at the Great American Beer Festival A-B showcases a lot of their "in development" beer and some are quite tasty. That said their latest two beers to come to market are horrible, Bud Lite Lime and their Budweiser Chelada.

I'm confused. Is this repackaged "regular" Budweiser, or a new brew for them? My take on the label is that it's in line with what one should expect from a huge brewery trying to make itself look like a smallish craft brewer. Lots of the small American craft brews have a similar style to their label...

I don't get this post. Budweiser has a new beer coming out? Where's the 'America, Love it or leave it' part?? I like regular Bud.
