The event sold out weeks ago, so a mention right before the event wouldn't have helped. We found out about the event -- or were reminded of it's approaching date -- by an "event almost sold out" email and it did in fact sell out right after we booked out tickets. I did mention next year's date and the date when tickets go on sale, so we did tell you ahead of time for 2009.

Just a thought, but it'd be awesome to have these things mentioned on the site BEFORE they happen. Some of us might want to go, not read about it.
