Spike Lee announced yesterday at Cannes that he's making a feature documentary about Michael Jordan, financed by the NBA, and tentatively scheduled for release this time next year. [Variety]

all of a sudden I'm losing respect for Spike Lee. Well I think I'd better wait and see the scope and depth of the film

being financed by the nba, you can bet the film makes little or no mention of his philandering, gambling addiction or the fact that jordan hasn't said anything interesting or worthwhile his entire career

Yes, you can expect an objective look. Perhaps Spike Lee could also make a documentary about Todd Stroger financed by the Citizens for Todd Stroger.

from an enertainment perspective spike lees commercials with jordan were cool. But you would expect more from lee than a fluff piece on jordan but if the job pays its hard to fault the guy.

I'm still waiting for Spike Lee to announce his Chevy Chase Doc.
