<description>&lt;p&gt;Here&apos;s what I don&apos;t get... most preservation organizations track demolished vs. saved vs. preserved.  Yet his doesn&apos;t.  So we can&apos;t possibly gauge whether or not it&apos;s worthwhile to get involved or give money.  

I&apos;ve met John and he wasn&apos;t the most gregarious guy you&apos;ll ever come across.  I wonder whether he wouldn&apos;t do better to broaden the board of his organization.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;karl.. it was three buildings in one year.  :)

johnathan fine sounds bitter, and i don&apos;t blame him one bit.  preserving historical architecture in a city known for it should not be a herculean task, but it is.  imagine showing your visiting friends around town, pointing and saying, &apos;well, there used to be this really awesome old building here, but they took it down.  ..and the one across the street, that&apos;s gone too.  and there was a really cool façade on that corner, but now that&apos;s gone...&apos;  it&apos;s an inevitable conclusion unless groups like this get in the game.  it&apos;ll all be gone before you know it.
