Chicagoist: Cold Comfort Quietly Closes

This is horrible news. Cold Comfort was a magical place with delicious eats. In this hoity-toity neighborhood of kiwi syrup french toast and foie gras eggs benedict, where can one find a decent bacon, egg and cheese everything bagel with home fries? Seriously, where? And don't say McDonald's or my kitchen. Cause both those places = not good.

Bummer! I used to eat there all the time when I worked down the street at Gravity Studios. Then again, I only worked at Gravity for a month before picking up another copywriting job, so maybe my leaving the area hurt there business ... 4 years ago. They did have delicious sandwiches, so I'm sad to hear they're gone. I'd be willing to bet they're another victim of the rising rent in the area. Maybe we can move another storefront bank into the vacant space!

I always thought that this place needed better hours - they closed far too early.
