Today is National Hamburger Day and Patty Burger in the Loop is offering customers the opportunity to exchange a burger from another store for a free single cheeseburger, regular fries and drink. The promotion runs from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
If you're unfamiliar with Patty Burger, you can study up by reading our review of their burgers from 2006. Patty Burger is at 72 E. Adams.

that's pretty wasteful. what are they doing with the crappy burgers?
Yeah, I hope they're giving them to a homeless shelter.
something tells me those burgers won't keep well even if they are transported to a shelter. they should have asked for non-perishable exchanges.
i'll ponder this more as i'm eating my delicious patty burger by the window so that all the homeless people walking by can see.
I don't know, if they refrigerate them, they'll be good enough to reheat for a couple of days. It's not like the homeless folks will turn their noses.
You used that Kuma's tag just to annoy me, didn't you?
This is a really dumb promotion. Give our competition money instead of us? Buy food you're not going to eat so that we can throw it away? I mean, how many people pack a burger in their lunchbox? Patty doesn't seem like she's got a great head for business.
patty does have a nice rack and ass, though.
@E: I used the kuma's tag because I had a line in the original copy I wound up editing out.
But if it annoyed you, that's fine. I want a Hatebeak right now, myself.
I understand the meaning behind the promotion being to promote Patty Burger, even with the waste of all those trade-ins. I'm just not that fond of the place to turn in, say, a Whopper with cheese.
I don't think you can give the homeless a bunch of weird mystery hamburgers, can you?
