Lizz, You're right they are from Montesano. Saying that the Melvins are from Aberdeen is like saying Fallout Boy is from Chicago. Sure, they're really from Wilmette, but close enough. Saying that the Melvins are from Tacoma is like saying Fallout Boy is from Champaign. While I'll admit that I don't know much about the economic infrastructure of WA state, looking at a map will show you that Montesano is basically a suburb of Aberdeen (10 miles or so) while Tacoma is an hour an a half drive(70~ miles). Got anything else? C'mon try me.

@ E Actually, hotshot, Melvins are from Montesano, WA. That city associates much of its economic infrastructure with Tacoma - sort of like a far-outlying suburb. Got anything else? C'mon, try me.

Mudhoney's self-titled album from 1989 is brilliant. I highly recommend it.
