Not much changed after Ozzie Guillen's Sunday rant. While he met with Sox GM Kenny Williams on Tuesday, the team's roster remained the same. The coaching staff remained the same. And Ozzie Guillen remains their manager, Jay Mariotti's wishes be damned.
But the team's results on the field were finally different. Playing at home against the last-place Kansas City Royals, the South Siders exploded for nine runs and won the game 9-5. Ozzie's only move was to drop Jermaine Dye down in the batting lineup.
While all's well for one night, can the Sox lumber remain out of its slumber? The team tied a season high with four home runs on Tuesday. But can this team figure out how to manufacture runs when the balls aren't clearing the fence? That remains to be seen. A win might keep Oz quiet for one night, it may not keep him silent for long.

i love people who hate ozzie. they come off so bitter and frustrated. hahah @ marriotti.
bitter and frustrated...are we talking about Sox fans or people who hate Ozzie?
sox fans? bitter and frustrated???
-------------->2005 called and said you gotta be kidding me.
The very definition of bitter and frustrated is: Mike player hatin' in the comments section of every Sox related post on Chicagoist.
ah, i see. good to know.
I think Ozzie is an act. A tiresome act. And I am a sox fan.
I watched the game on Sunday and had a temper tantrum as well. I'm glad the guy did it. Everyone I know that are Sox fans have been calling for the head of Greg Walker all season.
The bats are broken and they need to be fixed. First place or not.
