$4 Drugs, Gas, Weird Random Crap

2008_6_11.gasisexpensive.jpgDominick's has jumped aboard the cheap-generic-drugs wagon and is now offering 300 of the most frequently purchased drugs for $4 for a 30-day supply, which the Trib helpfully points out is also $8 for a 60-day supply and $12 for a 90-day one.

Good thing you can save some cash on your medication. Because the Energy Department says $4 gallons of gas are here to stay, most likely through next year. The newest projections say gas will peak at $4.15 a gallon in August and average $3.92 in 2009.

But there are plenty of other ways to spend $4. You could get this Dale Earnhardt Jr. party tub. Or a "manual book for Oldsmobil 1993". Or a box of whistles. Or a cute vintage carry-on bag. Or an almost freakishly ugly monkey lamp. Four bucks goes a long way.
