Top Chef Finale Preview
Tonight we'll find out if Stephanie Izard wins the title of "Top Chef" in part 2 of the season finale.
Filmed in Puerto Rico last month, Izard pits her skills against progressive cuisine acolyte/fauxhawk wearing Atlantan Richard Blais and the mopey, attitude-filled Lisa Fernandes of New York. Lisa won no one over last week when, after the shocking elimination of Antonia Lofaso, she looked at her peers and said, "I know you're disappointed to see Antonia go, but 'Congratulations' would be nice."
Lisa's inclusion in the final three is akin to a tone deaf singer winning "American Idol." Conventional wisdom says that it should come down to a common sense choice between Richard and Stephanie. At this late stage in the competition, however, the slightest mistake can ruin a chef and Lisa's been capitalizing on the mistakes of others for weeks. Let's hope the other two were at the top of their games during filming.

In other words, at this point there's no room for error?
that picture is photoshopped to hell. she's not even recognizable there.
I think it's the smile, kookybites. It threw me off, as well.
And the makeup helps make her look a little less bitter. I loved Richard's 'so you got the bronze medal' comment after her complaining about not getting congratulated!!
If Lisa wins, I might have to quit my job, b/c the company I work for owns the Bravo network. . gripe.

I'd also like to add that Lisa never actually congratulated Richard or Stephanie when they moved on to the final three.
Jacy - Oh dear. I don't want Lisa to win but you're practically begging me to hope she does purely for the entertainment value.

Not only did the Top Chef PR machine have to photoshop and cake make-up on Lisa to make her look palatable, but they also made sure her grease-head was covered lest the viewer be reminded of pre-haircut atrocities.
Go Stephanie! Barring that, go Richard!
@jacy -- I'm kinda with L. on this....I would hate to see Lisa win, but for the chance to see you with Lisa-do! Now, are we talking pre- or post-Puerto Rico coif?

I think Jacy can rock that haircut better than Lisa.
Chuck -- I won't hesitate to agree with you. But, that would mean that Lisa won TC. Unless, of course, Jacy wants to be sporting some Lisa-do just because.
